RE: Malayalam fonts on site
dear sujith, even if there is no malayalam fonts installed in the machine we can make webpages in malayalam and anyone can read it with a webbrowser (firefox doesn't support it much though-the only drawback of my favourite browser
)...the trick is make it in utf-8 fonts install some unicode malayalam font in your machine.. the common one is AnjaliOldLipi ... chk out this link http://varamozhi.wikia.com/wiki/Varamozhi then use your html editor.. for me it's dreamweaver...make html tag to read html lang="ml" content type to meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" u've to change the char set from iso-8859-1. goto charmap, copy the letters u need, and paste it in ur editor... save the file and upload ![]() instead of charmap u can use one editing software varamozhi..it's so cool..u can type in manglish and get he output in malayalam...export it and copy the fonts from the temporary file generated...(u'll have to install the matweb font in varamozhi folder to see malayalam in varamozhi editor ) i think it's almost clear to you...if any more doubts u can contact me anytime... |
