it depends.., if u r making texture for game, it will be low res. it will be very low res for mobile game, generally around 150px. But whn making a realistic texture it should be atlest 2k. so if u specify, i can give a better idea.

RE: Texture resolution
Yes agreed. It depends a lot on the game. Games that make use of noise and motion blur like Front lines don't need high resolution textures because the visual effects do a good job of hiding it. The difference is night and day. I personally prefer to have higher quality textures.

RE: Texture resolution
"The way we tell the story is from a POV perspective at all times, so you don't get to like cross reference how the bad guys are thinking, you're staying with those two guys the entire duration of the game," explains producer Karsen Lund. "So that kind of dictated the way we tell the story, because we need that feel of the documentary, of something that is made on the spot. Not really staged for an audience in that sense. So you can that is one way the style affected the story.

RE: Texture resolution
A common problem, a new texture mapping, texture should be the solution? This assumes you are going to make your own in two dimensional packages such as Photo shop, either from scratch or from a scan.
