Creating webpages by using photoshop

Hi,
I am planing to make a web site..How can create web pages using only by photoshop...?Possible?

I think you cannot make website by using only photoshop. Basically u can design ur web page template in photoshop. Then slice it and take it into dreamweaver. This is the basic procedure.

Yes divya, it's possible!!...but the page wont be optimized that much though...

the way is

1. design the layout first (design all the pages, like if you have around 5 pages in your site, design all those pages, save it as diffrent files). you should keep in mind what filenames you are gonna give for each html pages (you will know the use of it below) . Keep the width of the image as 775 and height as you like.

2. open the first page ie, your home page. use slice tool to mark your buttons.


3. right click on the blue colured square with a number(when you select that slice, it'll be higlighted in blue), and select "edit slice options" .

4. specify the URL as the page where you want to go after the click (that's why i told you before, that you should keep in mind of the name for next page)

5. do like this for all buttons

6. select file>>save for web

7. if you know how to optimize images, you can select each slice and give the proper extension or else leave the matter to photoshop

8. press "ok" and save your page(as html)..You are done with the first page of the site!!! cheers

9. do it for all the other pages, be carefull while specifying the file name(URL).. save all the html files in the same location

I finished my website....your advice helped me to finish my project.
Thanks,But the problem is file size is too big,How can optimize??
I want to put some html text on images...possible?and how can add gradiant effects on background??
